In addition to classic meat-free options like tofu, tempeh and quorn, Beanies also stocks a range of vegan goods. Non-dairy cheeses, milks, chocolate and ice cream can all be found in this fantastic little shop and the staff are always friendly and eager to help you find whatever you're looking for.
New Roots, located a little closer to the centre of town on Glossop Road, is a not-for-profit shop run entirely by volunteers. In addition to a selection of fruits, vegetable and cupboard staples, New Roots has a great choice of vegetarian and vegan pasties and cakes, and a cafe/lounge area where you can enjoy them. New Roots also deliver their produce and their veg box scheme is delivered by cyclists to minimise their carbon footprint!
The Incredible Nutshell is an independent food shop situated in Heeley. It is currently the only shop in Sheffield to sell 100% vegan products. Their range of vegan cheeses and meats is fantastic, one customer comented that it is 'definitely the most vegan-centric food shop in Sheffield.' They also stock an excellent selection of gluten-free options.
